Substances:

  • one cup of lentils
  • one cup of flour (wheat)
  • 1/2 cup of oats
  • one/two cup of brown rice (cooked)
  • 1 carrot
  • one eggplant
  • one little onion
  • three cloves of garlic
  • 1/2 cup of corn (optional)
  • two teaspoons salt (alter to your taste)
  • two teaspoons of oregano
  • 1 and a half teaspoons coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon of pepper (optional or adjust to your taste preference)
  • cornmeal for the “hamburger” patty

Guidelines:

  1. Roast Eggplant: Spot in a foil and bake for 20 minutes in a 375 degrees oven, or until it is tender.
  2. Cook lentils in boiling h2o (15 to 25 minutes).
  3. Cook brown rice.
  4. Toss carrots, onions, garlic, cooked eggplant and rice in a processor.
  5. After the lentils are cooked, allow to cool down before shaping into patties. Then, insert the processed veggies and rice in, smash alongside one another with your palms or with a potato masher. Take note: ensure not to smash all of the lentils.
  6. Include corn (optional), oats, flour, and seasonings.
  7. Make “burger” patties.
  8. Cover in corn meal.
  9. Fry in a tiny bit of oil  until the outside is crunchy.
  10. Put in a whole wheat bun and add your favorite toppings.
  11. Take pleasure in your creation!
