House made natural and organic maple granola with new fruit

Substances:

  • ¼ cup + 2 Tblspn darkish brown sugar
  • 1 cup cashew items
  • one cup dried cranberries or other dried fruit – ie chopped figs, chopped prunes or chopped dates
  • 1 cup raisins or other dried fruit – ie chopped figs, chopped prunes or chopped dates
  • fresh fruit
  • ¼ cup + 2Tblspn maple syrup
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil peanut oil chosen
  • three cups rolled oats
  • ¾ t salt
  • 1 cup slivered almonds

Recommendations:

  1. Preheat oven to 250F.
  2. In a huge bowl, incorporate the oats, nuts, salt and brown sugar. Add in the maple syrup and oil and combine thoroughly.
  3. Spread combination thinly and evenly onto two cooking tins with sides about ½ inch large.
  4. Bake for 45 to 60 minutes stirring very carefully each and every 15 minutes. For more even browning, turn the baking pans around a couple of times during its baking time.
  5. Notice: The granola is finished baking when it has a pleasant tan shade, not darkish, and is easy to chew.
  6. Remove trays from oven. Set granola aside to chill then combine in dried fruit and position in sealed plastic baggage. It will retain for two weeks, unrefrigerated.
