Slow Cooker Roast Beef  #1

 

3 pounds beef chuck roast

1 1/2 tablespoon salt

1/3 flour

1/2 tablespoon freshly ground black Pepper

1 cup red onion

1 stalk Celery

1 carrots

3 diced cloves of garlic

2 cups of red wine

28 oz. canned tomatoes

1 1/2 tablespoon Parsley

1 tablespoon Bay leaf

1 tablespoon Sage

 

Instructions:

Combine: 1 tablespoon salt, flour, tablespoon freshly ground black

Pepper. Smother the roast with combined ingredients.

 

Add small amount of oil to a saucepan and cook roast beef until its golden brown on all sides.

 

Place chuck roast into slow cooker and surround it with: garlic, carrots, celery, and onions. Then add the Parsley, Bay leaf, Sage, and ½ tablespoon of salt.

 

Finally, Pour the canned tomatoes and wine over the mixture.

 

Cover and cook on low for 8 hours. Serve and top with the rest of the parsley.
